Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu, PhD, FSI, Secretary, Faith-Based Mobilisation of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC), has strongly endorsed the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s recent declaration that Nigeria has successfully navigated the difficult phase of reforms and is now firmly on the path to prosperity.
Speaking at the South East APC PCC Women Empowerment Rally, Princess Akobundu described the First Lady’s statement as timely, accurate, and reflective of the realities on ground.
She noted that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken bold and necessary decisions to stabilise the economy, correct structural imbalances, and lay a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
“The First Lady has spoken the truth,” Akobundu said. “Nigeria has passed through the hard and necessary phase of reforms. The foundation has been laid. What we are witnessing now is the transition into prosperity. This is not a slogan; it is a process already unfolding.”
She praised Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her consistent advocacy for women, family welfare, and inclusive development, describing her as a stabilising force and a powerful voice of hope for Nigerian women. According to Akobundu, the First Lady’s initiatives continue to inspire and mobilise women across the South East and the entire nation.
Princess Akobundu, who also coordinates faith-based mobilisation efforts within the APC PCC, linked the ongoing economic reforms to the broader Renewed Hope Agenda.
She highlighted improvements in infrastructure, targeted social interventions, and efforts to create an enabling environment for businesses and households as clear signs that the country is moving beyond hardship into a season of recovery and shared prosperity.
Addressing women leaders and party faithful at the rally, she urged South East women to remain united and steadfast in their support for President Tinubu and the APC.
She emphasised that the gains already recorded must be protected and expanded through active political participation and grassroots mobilisation.
“Our women must understand that prosperity does not come by chance,” she stated. “It comes through continuity, unity, and deliberate support for the leadership that has shown the courage to reform and the vision to rebuild. The First Lady has shown us the way. We must walk with her and stand firmly with President Tinubu.”
The South East APC PCC Women Empowerment Rally brought together women leaders, community stakeholders, and party faithful from across the zone.
The gathering served as both a platform for empowerment and a strategic mobilisation forum aimed at consolidating support for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Princess Akobundu concluded by calling on women of faith and women of influence in the South East to intensify prayers, mobilisation, and practical support for the administration, insisting that the season of reforms has given way to a season of prosperity that must be fully realised under the continued leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
