Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu, PhD, FSI, Secretary, Faith-Based Mobilisation of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC), has highly commended the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON (Ugisimba 1), for empowering 5,000 women across the South East and for deliberately making women empowerment a central part of the ongoing campaign rallies.
Speaking at the South East APC PCC Women Empowerment Rally, Princess Akobundu described the First Lady’s intervention as timely, impactful, and reflective of a genuine commitment to lifting women and families out of economic hardship.
She noted that the empowerment of 5,000 women with tangible support demonstrates that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not limited to policy statements but is being translated into practical benefits that reach the grassroots.
“The First Lady has shown once again that women are not an afterthought in this administration,” Akobundu stated. “By making women empowerment part of the campaign rally, she has sent a clear message that progress must be inclusive and that the prosperity we are moving into must be felt in the homes and businesses of our women.”
Princess Akobundu praised Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her consistency in advocating for the welfare of women, widows, and vulnerable groups. She described the First Lady as a stabilising force and a powerful partner in the journey from reforms to shared prosperity.
Addressing the beneficiaries directly, Akobundu urged them to convert the empowerment received into votes for the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections.
“This empowerment is not just a gift; it is an investment in your future and the future of your families,” she said. “The only way to protect and expand these gains is to stand firmly with the APC and re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Your votes will ensure that the reforms already undertaken continue to yield greater prosperity for every Nigerian woman.”
She called on the beneficiaries and women across the South East to mobilise their families, communities, and networks in support of the APC, insisting that continuity of the current administration is essential for the full realisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The South East APC PCC Women Empowerment Rally brought together women leaders, party faithful, and community stakeholders from across the zone.
The gathering served both as an empowerment platform and a strategic mobilisation forum aimed at consolidating support for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
Princess Akobundu reiterated that the season of difficult reforms has given way to a season of prosperity, and that South East women must play a decisive role in sustaining that progress by voting massively for the APC in 2027.
