The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), South East, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, following the commendation conveyed by the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, praising President Tinubu’s leadership and reaffirming America’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Nigeria.
Dr. Arodiogbu described the message as a significant demonstration of Nigeria’s growing international stature under the Renewed Hope administration and a reflection of the confidence that world leaders have in President Tinubu’s commitment to addressing national security challenges and advancing economic prosperity.
According to Dr. Arodiogbu, the recognition of President Tinubu’s determination to confront terrorism, protect vulnerable communities, and strengthen national security underscores the administration’s unwavering resolve to restore peace and stability across the country.
He noted that the reaffirmation of the United States–Nigeria Defence Cooperation Roadmap and the commitment to continued security collaboration represent important milestones in the strategic partnership between both nations.
“The commendation from President Donald J. Trump is a strong indication that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts at improving Nigeria’s security architecture and deepening international partnerships are receiving global recognition. Such cooperation is vital in confronting terrorism, combating transnational crime, and promoting peace and stability across Nigeria and the West African sub-region,” Dr. Arodiogbu stated.
The APC South East leader further observed that stronger cooperation between Nigeria and the United States in defence, intelligence sharing, military training, and capacity building would enhance the operational capabilities of Nigeria’s Armed Forces and contribute to the protection of lives and property.
Dr. Arodiogbu urged Nigerians to continue supporting the Tinubu administration as it pursues reforms aimed at improving security, strengthening democratic institutions, attracting foreign investment, and creating sustainable economic opportunities for all citizens.
He expressed confidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda would continue to position Nigeria as a respected partner in the international community while fostering peace, unity, and inclusive national development.
