WELCOME HOME: DR. IJEOMAH ARODIOGBU COMMENDS PRESIDENT TINUBU FOR SAFE EVACUATION OF THE LAST BATCH OF NIGERIANS FROM SOUTH AFRICA

The National Vice Chairman (South East) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has welcomed the arrival of the last batch of 308 Nigerian returnees evacuated from South Africa, describing the exercise as another demonstration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to the protection and welfare of Nigerians wherever they may be.

In a statement he issued on Wednesday in Abuja, Dr. Arodiogbu expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for facilitating the successful evacuation of over 1,500 Nigerians from South Africa, noting that the government’s swift response reflects the administration’s resolve to safeguard the lives and dignity of its citizens in times of need.

He commended the Federal Government and all relevant agencies involved in the evacuation exercise for their professionalism, coordination, and dedication in ensuring the safe return of the affected Nigerians.

Dr. Arodiogbu stated that the successful completion of the evacuation underscores the importance President Tinubu places on the welfare of Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora.

“I warmly welcome our brothers and sisters back home. Your safety and well-being remain paramount, and we are delighted to receive you back in Nigeria.

“I sincerely thank His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his compassionate leadership and decisive action in ensuring the successful evacuation of over 1,500 Nigerians from South Africa. The arrival of the final batch of 308 returnees is a testament to a government that truly cares for its citizens.”

Dr. Arodiogbu further encouraged the returnees to take advantage of available government support and reintegration programmes as they begin a new chapter in Nigeria.

He reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to supporting policies that prioritize the security, welfare, and prosperity of all Nigerians, irrespective of where they reside.

The APC National Vice Chairman expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic officials, aviation authorities, emergency responders, and partner agencies whose collaborative efforts made the evacuation exercise successful, while praying for the continued peace, safety, and progress of Nigeria and its citizens.
