As the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, I unequivocally and categorically distance the Anambra State Chapter from the reckless, divisive, and mischievous activities recently perpetrated by Chief Basil Ejidike against our esteemed National Vice Chairman (South East), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu. These unwarranted attacks, fabrications, and attempts to tarnish the reputation of a dedicated party leader who has consistently championed unity, progress, and loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda have absolutely no place in our chapter. The Anambra APC rejects in totality any association with such disruptive antics that only serve the interests of enemies of our great party.
I place on record my absolute confidence in Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu and reaffirm that I will forever remain deeply grateful for his immense contributions to the growth and strengthening of the APC in Anambra State. His tireless efforts, strategic interventions, and unwavering support have been instrumental in sustaining and expanding our presence here.
Regarding the baseless allegations and so-called “information” peddled by certain infinitesimal and faceless groups, I make it clear that I have no idea how they arrived at their concocted narratives. Upon thorough inquiry, I was reliably informed that Dr. Arodiogbu does not even know the individuals purportedly involved in submitting forms for the said position, and he is fully conscious that the election of ex-officio members is a matter exclusively reserved for the national convention, where he neither nominates nor determines who emerges.
It is pertinent to recall my recent public commendation of Dr. Arodiogbu as one of President Tinubu’s staunchest and most reliable supporters, one who would readily lay down his life for the cause of the party and the nation. In light of this, I find the spurious claims of anti-party activities levelled against him utterly false, malicious, and clearly the handiwork of enemies of the APC who are desperate to sow discord.
The Anambra State APC remains solidly united, disciplined, and committed to President Tinubu’s vision. No amount of mischief from disgruntled elements will distract us from mobilizing massively for Renewed Hope victory in 2027 and beyond.
