DR IJEOMAH ARODIOGBU REITERATES APC’S COMMITMENT TO THE RULE OF LAW, THROWS MORE LIGHT ON THE IMPRESSIVE TURNOUT FOR THE PARTY’S E-REGISTRATION EXERCISE

Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, as the National Vice-Chairman (South-East) of the All Progressives Congress, this evening, actively participated in the TVC News program “Beyond The Headlines” discussing the former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai’s airport incident and broader questions of whether the APC is targeting opposition figures. He also spoke on the impressive turnout for the party’s e-Registration exercise across the country especially in the Southeast where Imo State has already registered about 700,000 people, followed by Enugu and Ebonyi states.

In the discussion, he provided the party’s perspective, defending the actions taken at the airport as lawful and procedural rather than politically motivated intimidation. He emphasized that the APC operates within the rule of law and does not engage in vendettas against opponents, framing the incident as isolated and not indicative of a pattern of targeting opposition leaders like former Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The APC National Vice-Chairman further highlighted the ruling party’s commitment to democratic principles, security protocols, and fair treatment across political divides, while addressing concerns about potential bias in enforcement. He pointed to ongoing national priorities under President Tinubu’s administration, such as infrastructure development and economic reforms, as evidence that the focus remains on governance rather than partisan persecution.

His contributions underscored the APC’s stance on unity and progress, rejecting claims of witch-hunts and reinforcing that any security measures are applied consistently to uphold order and national interest.

This appearance also allowed him to articulate the South-East’s growing alignment with the party at the centre as evident in the e-Registration exercise, promoting reciprocity and development for the region amid national debates on opposition dynamics.
